We believe food is love and we need plenty of it.

 

VOLUNTEERS

Saturdays at the House
Spend time with our young residents. They need people whom they can trust.

Day Activities
Organise and/or accompany the residents.

Holidays
None of our residents have ever had holidays. Help with sailing, trekking and other sporting activities.

Working Bees
Be a handyman or gardener or helper. See [Events »] page.

 

EVENTS

Assist and Attend

Our Annual Regatta

Date: 9 March 2006 – 2.00pm to 5.30pm
Place: Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, Kirribilli

This is an afternoon Regatta with a Bledisloe match race between David Kirk, previous World Cup captain of the “All Blacks” (1987) and Nick Farr-Jones (1991) Australian World Cup captain.

It is a fun afternoon. You can:

  • Sponsor a yacht between $2,000 and $2,800 of which $1,500 and $2,100 is tax deductible;
  • Can go as a crew member for $200 - $150 of which is tax deductible.
  • If you are a Bridge player you can have Bridge at the Squadron from 10.00am and then join a cruiser and watch the events in the afternoon.

All are then able to join in the festivities at the Squadron for the prize giving and buffet and drinks.

VOLUNTARY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

We need community minded persons with various skills. There are always tasks to be done ie administrative, computer and updating of website.
